Quavo & Future – BA

Rap has borrowed plenty of names for flex lyrics over the years, athletes, actors, tech moguls, but Quavo and Future’s new single “BA” reaches for a slightly less expected reference point: Bernard Arnault, the French businessman behind LVMH and one of the wealthiest people on the planet.

Released October 2nd through Quality Control Music and Motown Records, “BA” marks another chapter in a collaborative relationship between the two Atlanta-rooted rap veterans that dates back years, from their 2020 appearance alongside the late Pop Smoke on “Snitching” to 2023’s “Turn Yo Clic Up,” which arrived off Quavo’s Rocket Power album. Their chemistry has always leaned into shared bravado rather than contrast, two of trap’s most recognizable voices trading verses over beats built for maximum swagger.

That same dynamic drives “BA.” At just under two and a half minutes, the track keeps things tight and direct, using Arnault’s name as shorthand for a level of wealth most people can only imagine, luxury vacations, designer excess, the kind of lifestyle flex rap has always specialized in dressing up with clever wordplay. It’s a brief, punchy addition to both artists’ catalogues rather than a sprawling statement, built more for replay value than narrative depth.

An official music video accompanies the release, continuing both artists’ tendency to pair new singles with proper visual rollouts rather than treating tracks as throwaways. For two rappers who’ve spent years circling each other’s projects as reliable collaborators, “BA” reads less like a major event and more like two friends checking in with another quick, confident record.

MusicPorta says: Quavo and Future don’t reinvent anything on “BA,” but they don’t need to, their familiarity with each other carries the track’s energy effortlessly. It’s a tight, well-executed flex record from two artists who clearly still enjoy working together.
