Miranda Lambert – Crisco (ALBUM)

Miranda Lambert has put a disco ball in the middle of a honky-tonk, and Crisco is the result. The album landed October 2, and the title track that introduced it has kept country fans talking since its first appearance on a big awards-show stage.

Lambert has spent more than twenty years as one of country’s most decorated voices, and she is the most-awarded artist in the history of the Academy of Country Music. Crisco is her first album under a new partnership with MCA, and she produced it alongside Jesse Frasure. She co-wrote with her longtime circle, including Natalie Hemby, Ashley Monroe, Waylon Payne, Aaron Raitiere, and Josh Osborne.

The title track is built on a loose, danceable groove, with piano and sweeping strings giving a country song a glow from the 1970s dance floor.
