Fact-Checking Policy

Our Approach to Fact-Checking

MUSICPORTA is committed to publishing music news and entertainment content that is accurate and well researched. This Fact-Checking Policy describes the steps we take to verify information before publication.

Verification Process

Before an article is published, our writers and editors take reasonable steps to verify key facts, including:

Cross-referencing information with multiple credible sources
Confirming quotes and statements against official releases, verified social media accounts, or press materials
Verifying dates, names, and event details wherever possible
Reviewing embedded media links to confirm they point to official and authorized platforms

Reliable Sources

We prioritize information from official artist representatives, record labels, verified social media accounts, press releases, and reputable industry publications. When a claim cannot be independently verified, we aim to clearly indicate this to our readers, such as by noting that a report is “according to sources” or “unconfirmed.”

Opinion and Commentary

Reviews, opinion pieces, and commentary are clearly distinguished from factual news reporting. While these pieces reflect the views of individual writers, we still expect factual claims within them to be accurate and verifiable.

Ongoing Review

Our commitment to accuracy does not end at publication. If new information emerges that affects the accuracy of a previously published article, we will review and update the article in accordance with our Corrections Policy.

Reporting Inaccurate Information

If you believe an article contains unverified or inaccurate information, please contact us at info@musicporta.com with details of your concern. We take all such reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
