Zoro Swagbag – Settings

Zoro Swagbag’s “Settings“ dropped on October 9 and has been picking up attention across Nigerian music blogs this week. It is the Igbo rapper’s follow-up to “Big Shot,” his September release.

Zoro is known for rapping in Igbo and weaving it with English and Pidgin. He built his name on records like “Ogene” with Flavour and “Achikolo” with Phyno, and his catalog has stayed tied to Igbo culture and indigenous hip-hop. “Settings” continues that line.

The record is bass-driven and punchy, with a sharp, commanding delivery from Zoro. Izzy Beatzz and Masterkraft co-produced it, and the standout touch is the Oja flute played by Ojadili Igbo. That traditional instrument sits against the heavy low end and gives the beat an unmistakable local identity. Only1Klem co-wrote the song and appears on additional vocals alongside Ruffcoin, and the hook uses short, repeatable phrasing.

The current attention comes from the fresh release. It is Zoro’s second new single in two months, and the pairing of Igbo-language bars with Masterkraft’s production has put the song in front of rap and highlife listeners alike. No viral clip or chart run has been confirmed, so the song’s pull comes from the music itself.

MusicPorta says: “Settings” is a lesson in how to make tradition hit hard. Zoro’s flow is confident and rhythmically tight, the Oja flute adds a rare organic color to a modern rap beat, and the bass keeps the energy high from start to finish. The production is balanced, the hook is easy to remember, and the performance sounds fully in control.

MusicPorta Rating: ★★★★★

“Settings” is an exciting track with captivating energy, impressive delivery, and a memorable sound. Make sure you listen to this impressive song and add it to your playlist today.
