Decibel Dogs – Unbroken

Florida hard rock outfit Decibel Dogs aren’t interested in chasing whatever sound happens to be trending, and “Unbroken,” the second track from their new release Unleashed, turns that exact stance into the song’s entire thesis.

Written by guitarist Joe Diaz years before it finally found its way onto record, the song channels a simple but durable idea: staying grounded in who you are even as the world keeps shifting around you. Vocalist Lou Vetere, bassist Ryan Bales, and drummer Donnie Tippel round out a lineup that’s been building a reputation for blending classic metal muscle with a more contemporary hard rock edge, and “Unbroken” plays right into that identity, driving riffs paired with an unapologetic, no-compromise attitude running through every bar.

The recording process matched the song’s gritty character. Tracked in January 2026 at Tampa’s Zen Studios with engineer Michael Rende, whose credits include work with Cheap Trick and Corrosion of Conformity, the song carries a raw, live-room edge before being polished up that spring by mixer Glenn Burgos at New York’s Wishcraft Studios. That combination gives “Unbroken” a sound that’s sturdy without sanding off its edges entirely.

Since its June release, the band has steadily built the song’s rollout, culminating in an official music video that arrived in October, extending the track’s reach across both American and European rock press. The message has translated well across language barriers too, outlets from Poland to Greece to Latin America have all picked up on the same core idea: a song about refusing to bend under outside pressure.

MusicPorta says: Decibel Dogs keep “Unbroken” refreshingly unpretentious, letting a straightforward message about resilience carry real weight through sheer conviction rather than over-complication. It’s a sturdy, riff-driven anthem for anyone who’s had to dig in and hold their ground.
